Robert Joseph Scheiring, 87, of North Canton, passed away September 20, 2012 at St. Luke Lutheran Home.

He was born March 30, 1925 in Canton, the son of the late Joseph H. and Elvira (Hamill) Scheiring.

Robert was an Army Sergeant during WWII.

He retired from Timken Company Security Department for 33 years and also at Brookside Country Club of Canton for 40 years.

He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in North Canton. He was an avid golfer and hunter. He and his wife enjoyed their retirement at Lady Lake in Florida.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Madonna F. Scheiring, two sons, Michael J. (Marcia) Scheiring of Lawrenceville, NJ, Bradford J. (Nancy) Scheiring of Massillon; daughter, Kathleen (James) Greenlese of North Canton; five grandchildren, Drs. Kristy (Manuel) Jimenez of Cherry Hill, PA, Lauren (Mike) Wexler of Erving, NJ, Brian Scott (Marija) Scheiring of Pittsburgh, PA,, Lisa Scheiring of Manhatten NY, Jared B. (Paige) Greenlese of Canton and 6 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday September 27, 2012 at Heitger Funeral Service Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW, from 4-7 PM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be September 28, 2012 at St. Paul Catholic Church in North Canton at 11 AM with Rev. Msgr. James A. Clarke celebrant.

Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park in Canton.
