Robert "Bob" D. VanSchuyver, Sr., age 87, of North Canton, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024.
He was born September 29, 1936, in Wanette, OK, son of the late Millard and Eura (Perrin) VanSchuyver.
Bob worked most of his career with Skyline Corporation in Sugarcreek, Ohio as general manager where he lead the corporation to No.1 in the nation for manufactured home production. Additionally, he worked along side his Son, Bob Jr., at American Homes and VanCrest Homes.
Bob was of Catholic faith and a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. He was a faithful friend of Bill W. for over 20 years.
He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters and loved ones sharing stories. He also enjoyed horses, sports, golf, football, and running in marathons. His favorite vacations were at the beach.
Robert is survived by the mother of his children, Mary Jo VanSchuyver; children, Robert "Bob" D. VanSchuyver, Jr. (Arika), Raeann VanSchuyver, and Rhonda Qalobula (Samu); step-daughter, Donna Marie Lombardi (Kirk, Jonathan and Allison); daughter-in-law, Sheri VanSchuyver; grandchildren, Lauren Mary and Abigail Lynn VanSchuyver, Adrienne Hankins; siblings, Sue Goodnight (Mike), David VanSchuyver (Janice) and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife Diane VanSchuyver, brothers, Wayland Millard, Doyle Lee and Billy Joe VanSchuyver.
Bob was loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
