Roberta "Bobbie" Ann Bruce, age 67, of Massillon passed away Friday, July 11, 2014 at Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia surrounded by her family.

She was born March 12, 1947, in Canton, the daughter of the late Lawrance A. and Wanda E. (Skakum) Smith.

Bobbie retired from Ohio Bell where she was a long distance operator for a number of years.
She loved working in her flower beds and coloring with her granddaughter, Gracie, and spending time with her family.

Bobbie is survived by her husband, Gerald "Jerry" L. Bruce; sister, Karen Morris of Navarre; brother, Larry A. Smith of North Carolina;  7 step children; and 21 grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 15 ,2014 at Heitger Funeral Service- Massillon Chapel, 639 First St NE at 1PM with Pastor Joseph Perry officiating.

Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service Noon to 1PM.

Burial to follow at Brookfield Cemetery in Massillon.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
