Roger L. Nelson, age 79 of Akron, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center.
He was born November 8, 1945, in Julian, WV, the son of the late Delbert and Minnie (Kinder) Nelson.
Roger retired from Westinghouse after 20 years of service and he had been a hairdresser for many years.
He enjoyed gardening, flowers, walking in the parks, and traveling.
Roger is survived by his partner of 27 years, Dwayne Askerneese; daughters, Melanie Robinson and Angela Nelson; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his siblings.
Per his wishes no services will be held.
