Obituary

Ronald Eugene Bouder, age 79, passed away on October 2, 2026, leaving behind a family who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

He was born in Leola, PA on July 30, 1947, to the late Richard E. Bouder and Gladys M. Ammon.

Ron was truly one-of-a-kind with a desire to do what he believed was right. He was honest and direct, never one to hide what he thought. However, his words and actions came from a place of sincerity and conviction. Those who knew him understood that beneath his straightforward nature was a man who cared deeply about the people in his life.

One of Ron’s special qualities was his remarkable ability to remember the details of his loved ones’ lives. He paid attention to the things that mattered to them, remembering the stories, milestones, and little details that showed just how much he cared. In his own way, he made the people he loved feel seen, heard, and remembered.

Throughout his life, Ron faced challenges that tested him, but he continued to move forward as best he could. His journey was uniquely his own, shaped by both hardships and the strength it took to overcome them. He was a man who lived life on his own terms, leaving behind memories and lessons that will continue to be part of his family’s story.

Ron proudly served in the United States Army before building a career in sales. He was a lifelong sports fan with a special love for his beloved Philadelphia Phillies. One of his greatest pleasures was watching his grandchildren play sports. Whether cheering them on from the sidelines or simply being there to support them, he took pride in being their Pa. Those moments were a meaningful part of his life and created memories his family will treasure forever.

Ron was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kum Cha Bouder, who passed away on October 1, 2003. Together, they built a family that remains his legacy.

Ron will be remembered for his kind heart, his unmistakable personality, and the way he held on to the details that mattered most.

He is survived by his four children: Lydia Cavanaugh (Brennan), Rich Bouder (Scarlett), Jen Yacobozzi (Mark), and Kevin Bouder (Araceli); his eleven cherished grandchildren: Alaric, Adrian, and Chase; Max and Rocco; Sam, Maddie, and Henry; and Noah, Zara, and Isla; his sisters, Carol Derewitz (Dan), and Sue Bouder-Pindar (Bill); and many nieces, a nephew, extended family members, and friends.

Though saying goodbye is never easy, the love Ron gave and the memories he leaves behind will live on through all who knew and loved him.

A private graveside service with immediate family members will take place in Gap, PA in November.

Rest peacefully, Dad. You will always be loved.
