Roy Morris Dancy, age 82, of Jackson Township, passed away Friday, February 8, 2013.

He was born October 30, 1930 in Coldwater, Mississippi the of the late Sumner and Clyde (Sowell) Dancy.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Corrine (Scruggs) Dancy; daughters, Sherry Dancy of Columbus, Pam (Bob) Worthington of North Canton; four grandchildren, Jeff Worthington, Ryan Gilbert, Heather (Brian) Kindl, Todd (Erin) Worthington; four great-grandchildren, Joshua Coen Swain, Bobby Worthington, Grace Kindle, Simon Kindl.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by daughter, Jerrie Kay Dancy, five brothers and one sister.

Roy retired in 1986 from B.F. Goodrich where he was director of distribution after 35 years of service. After retirement he joined the family real estate practice with Cutler Associates.

He was a member of Rivertree Christian Church, he served as a greeter, ABF class, over the years he had been involved with youth ministries. Roy was a volunteer at the Wilderness Center, where he enjoyed nature and bird watching.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Heitger Funeral Service - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW, at 6:30pm with Pastor Al DeAngelo officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-6:30pm prior to the service.
