Roy Frederick Ellis, age 81 of Navarre, died Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Affinity Medical Center.
He was born October 22, 1934, in Bowdil, the son of the late Paul and Helen (Schroeder) Ellis.
Roy was a Korean Veteran serving with the Marines.
He was a retired pipe fitter with Union Local 94.
He was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church, American Legion Post 221; he coached Little League Football and was a football official.  He enjoyed golfing and stained glass.
Roy is survived by his wife Marlene (Laughlin) Ellis; children, Todd (Jane Sharish) Ellis, Chad Ellis, Terri Ellis; brother, Daune (Marylou) Ellis; sisters, Karen (Stephen) Ogg, Paula (Ted) Slusser, Pam (Dave) Kusmits; four grandchildren, Reed (Tiffany) Brown III, Lauren Ellis, Zach Ellis, Troy Ellis; great-grandchildren, Rielle Brown, Liviana Brown, and Ashton Ellis.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Riggs.
As per his wishes no services will be held.
His final resting place will be at Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery, in Rittman.
