Obituary
Roy F. Powell, 85 formerly of Ravenna, passed away Monday, August 3, 2015 at Aultman Compassionate Care.
He was born April 13, 1930 in Calhoun, Georgia the son of the late Myrlin and Jeffie (Gravitt) Powell.
Roy was a veteran serving with the Air Force during the Korean War.
He retired from Preston Trucking Company after 30 years as a truck driver.
He was a member the Ravenna VFW #1055, American Legion Post 297, Moose Lodge 1234, and Masonic Lodge Rising Sun #22.
Roy is survived by his wife, Mary (Broadbent) Powell, son, Scott (Toni) Powell; daughter, Lori (Lou) Shaheen; brother, James Powell; seven grandchildren, Scott, Ryan, Leah, and Ben Shaheen, Madison, Allison, and Olivia Powell.
His final resting place will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery,10175 Rawiga Rd, Rittman, OH 44270, where he will receive military honors on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 9:30AM.
