Rozalia (Yakimu) Dobko entered eternal rest on August 17, 2014. She was born January 21, 1927 in the Ukraine. Rose, her husband John, and their son Peter came to America in 1951 and added to their family with a daughter, Irene in 1953. Rose worked at Ohio Packaging for over 25 years and was a faithful parishioner of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, before moving to Ohio in 1993, where she resided until her death.
Rose was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, John, in 2010. She is survived by her son Peter and his wife Karen Dobko of Clifton, daughter Irene Dobko of North Canton Ohio, grandchildren Nicole (Dobko) Turi and her husband Steven, Kevin Dobko, Joshua Pogorelec and his wife Jill, Jordan, Jeremy, Lauren and Evan Pogorelec, as well as six great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Nicholas, Natalie and Steven Turi and Joseph and Abigail Pogorelec.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014 from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M.at Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Hooten Ave., Clifton, NJ 07013. Parastas service begins at 6 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church in Passaic, NJ on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 10 A.M. Final resting place is Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa, N.J.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church.
Babci, we will all be eternally grateful for the life you provided for us. We will miss you and love you forever.
