Obituary

Russell "Jack" Meeting, a once very strong and physically built man able to out-work anyone; who dearly loved family and enthusiastically relished a thoroughgoing life; at age 89 on March 5, 2016 was quietly buried beside his departed wife, Lois V. "Honey Lou"(Sibila).

Born in August 1926 to the late John and Bernice Meeting, Jack is survived by his sister Mary Lou Jenkins of Massillon and was preceded in death by his brother William Meeting, and sister Maxine Stonestreet.

His love and ongoing protection of family will be greatly missed by his four daughters, Marilyn Prato (Gary), Carolyn Mehl (Don), Michele Mosher, and Renee "Jackie" Stanton (William), and his grandchildren, Jonathon Prato, Kerri Schill (Steve), Alexandrea and Nickolas Stanton, and Jacquelyn "Jackie" and Kelsey Mosher.

Memorials to commemorate Jack's life and assist many other WWII and U.S. veterans suffering from Alzheimer's and other afflictions may be directed to the Ohio Veterans Home, 3416 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH  44870-5598.  The Meeting family gratefully acknowledges the conscientious and devoted care that "Papa Jack" received by the doctors, nurses and staff of Ohio Veterans Home and Stein Hospice.
