Ruth Elizabeth "Betsy" Everett, age 96,  formerly of North Canton, passed away  April 22 at Chapel Hill Retirement Community.
She was born May 21, 1920, in Youngstown, the daughter of  the late John and Mary (Reid) McComb.
Betsy was employed by the Niloder Company for 20 years and served as an executive secretary, an administrative assistant to the president and a board officer for the company.  Betsy attended Canton Actual Business College and the Sherry Lee School of Modeling.  She worked as a professional model in the Canton area for 12 years.  Betsy attended Muskingum College, was a homecoming queen, and enjoyed sorority activities on campus.  She was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church and the Massillon Woman's Club.
She was a founding member of Branhaven Swim and Tennis Club and enjoyed exercise classes and walking with friends.  One of her greatest joys late in life was spending time with her great-grandson, Everett.
Betsy is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Bob Glassburn; granddaughter Meggie (Vinnie) Sette; great-grandson, Everett Sette.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald Everett. her brother Jack, and sisters Jean and Peg.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2917 at John Knox Presbyterian Church,  5155 Eastlake St. N.W., North Canton, Ohio  44720  at 11 A.M.  Calling hours will be held from 10 to 11 A.M. at the church prior to the service.  Burial to follow the service at North Lawn Cemetery in Canton.
