Ruthella B. Hammer age 90, passed away at Villa Angela Care Center in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday Feb 20th, 2016.

She was born in Wellsville, Ohio December 17, 1925 the daughter of the late James Kenney and Nancy (Todd) Lewis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald and son, James. She is survived by her sons, David (Christina) of Westerville, Ohio and Thomas (Deborah) of Massillon, her brother, Gene (Joan) Lynch; brother-in-law, Robert Hammer; sister-in-law, Alice (Andrew) Paul and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

While living in Massillon, she was a member of St. Mary Church, Columbian Ladies Guild and had volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul Society.

Funeral services will be held at Heitger Funeral Home Massillon Chapel, 639 First St NE, Massillon, Ohio, on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 1pm.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home from noon to 1pm.
