Sarah Virginia Marchbank Bendure, 86, died Thursday, February 02, 2012 in Gray, Georgia.

Mrs. Bendure was born on June 06, 1925, in Mt. Pleasant, Ohio, and was the daughter of the late John Crawford Marchbank and Ruth King Marchbank.

She was retired from Nickles Bakery in Navarre, Ohio, after thirty years of service. Mrs. Bendure was an active member of Clinton United Methodist Church, Gray, Georgia, and a former member of First Christian Church, Massillon, Ohio. She participated in many activities at Clinton UMC including the 'Vintage Singers,' and was a member of the Ladies of the Red Hat Society. She was a wonderful seamstress and shared her gift with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bendure was preceded in death by her husband: Thomas E. Bendure, Sr.; brothers: William Marchbank, John Marchbank, Jr. and Fred Marchbank; daughters: Christine Garzanich and Sandy Goolsby; and by a great-granddaughter: Mary Grace Clark.

Mrs. Bendure is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Thomas E. and Fran Bendure, Jr., of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, and Paul and Kathy Bendure of Massillon, Ohio; sons-in-law: Thomas Garzanich of Boardman, Ohio, and Jim Goolsby of Gray, Georgia; sisters: Ruth A. Marchbank of Eads, Tennessee, and Elizabeth Helen Yoder of Navarre, Ohio; and by nine grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to either the American Cancer Society, Post Office Box 4406, Macon, Georgia 31208 or to First Christian Church, 1020 Wales Road, N. E., Massillon, OH 44646.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Heitger Funeral Service - Massillon Chapel, 639 First St NE, at 10:30 AM. Mrs. Bendure will be buried at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens in North Canton, Ohio.

Following the burial, the family will receive friends at Grace United Church of Christ, 933 Main Ave. West, Massillon, Ohio, from 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM.
