Shari Lee Allen, age 69, passed away peacefully at Mercy Medical Center, surrounded by her family on Thursday, January 3, 2019. Born on May 6, 1949 in Detroit Michigan, she lived the majority of her life in the Akron/Canton area. On October 19, 1968, she married Thomas B. Allen. Together, they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Shari will be remembered as a loving wife, caring mother and devoted grandmother. She lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, but most enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, who she always put first.
Preceded in death by her father, James Patrick, mother, Margaret Patrick, and aunt, Sylvia Genna. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Allen; children, Chris (Candy) Allen, Troy (Katie) Allen, and Erin (Jim) Wilson; brother, Glenn (Peggy) Patrick; grandchildren, Maddy, Margaret and Elizabeth Allen, Kyle and Kelsey Allen, Camryn, Tayah, Keldon and Broden Wilson; cousin, Marianne Sova; niece, April Avigne, and several other family and friends.
Shari never enjoyed being the center of attention and per her wishes there will be no service.
