Shirley June Brownewell, age 85, of Canton, passed away December 22, 2013.

She was born December 14, 1928 in Rochester, New York, the daughter of the late William and Belle Darling. She attended Heidelberg College, was a retired travel agent from Canton AAA and a member of Trinity United Church of Christ.

Shirley is survived by her son Brian Brownewell of Canton, daughter Terrie (Martin) Craig of Massillon, daughter-in-law Holly Brownewell of Canton, grandchildren, Austin, Keith and Jeanne Brownewell and Jacob and Abigail Craig, and sister Barbara Lucas of Tennessee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald Brownewell, sons Steven and Richard Brownewell, brother Richard 'Dicky' Darling and sister Marjorie Koepplin.

Calling hour will be Saturday, January 18 at 2pm with Memorial Service immediately following at 3pm at Trinity United Church of Christ, 3909 Blackburn Rd NW, Canton, OH 44718.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association.
