Sofie Yost, age 95 of Massillon, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018.
She was born July 23, 1923, in  Hambrucken, Germany, the daughter of the late Sylvester and Sofie (Vogel)  Roll.
She was owner and President of Yost Candy Company.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and St. Barbara Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening.
Sofie is survived by her daughter, Kate (Steve) Farris; sons, Bud Yost and Joe Yost; five grandchildren; and two-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl A. Yost who died in 1958 and nine siblings.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 10 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fr. Edward Gretchko celebrating.
Burial to follow the service at St. Mary's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to .St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
