Stanley J. Seifert Sr. age 92 of Massillon passed away peacefully Friday, July 1, 2016.

He was born February 16, 1924 in Massillon the son of the late Oliver and Alice (Hanner) Seifert.

Stanley was a WWII veteran serving in the Army in the South Pacific.

He retired from Doctor's Hospital.  He enjoyed yard work and cooking.  Stanley loved spending time with his family, grandchildren, and his dog, Jakki-O.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Eileen (Hanna) Seifert; children, Terrie (Jim) Vaughn, Alan Seifert, Jeanne Knight, Nanette (Don) Finley; daughter-in-law, Debbie Seifert; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Donald (Mary) Seifert; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Stanley Jr.; two brothers, Oliver Junie and Dave Seifert; infant grandson, Norman Vaughn Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Heitger Funeral Home  Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW at 1 PM.

Calling hours will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.

Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Massillon.
