Susan M. Cwynar, age 61, of Jackson Twp., died Friday, June 8, 2012 at Aultman Hospital after a long illness.

She was born October 24, 1950 in New Castle, PA, the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Kresowaty) Owoc.

Sue was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. She helped plan and organize several fundraisers for the Massilon Chapter of the American Red Cross and the Holy Trinity Church in New Castle, PA. Most recently, Sue assisted a family in a fundraiser for expensive medical treatments. She was a diehard Steeler's fan and enjoyed travel, gardening and the company of her many friends.

Sue is survived by her husband, Tom Cwynar, brother, Paul (Pat) Owoc; sister-in-law, Eileen (June) Emerick; brother-in-law, Walter (Pat) Cwynar; and nieces Missy Owoc and Cheryl Garcia.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Lee Owoc.

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, june 13, 2012 at St. Michael Catholic Church at 10:30 AM preceded by a gathering of friends at 10AM in the church vestibule.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society or the Susan B. Komen Fund.
