Thelma A. Charlton, age 91 of Massillon, went to be with her Lord Saturday, May 13, 2017 at St. Luke's Lutheran Community in North Canton surrounded by her family. She was born August 3, 1925, in Massillon the daughter of the late Raymond and Margaret (Keller) Stauffer. She was a life time member of Faith Lutheran Church.  Thelma loved cooking, ceramics, and bird watching. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, James Charlton; son, Thomas Charlton; three siblings, Floyd Stauffer, Dorothy Bristor, and Ruth Carlson. Thelma is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Jay R. and Sandi Charlton of Jackson Twp., Timothy W. and Donna Charlton Sr., of Perry Twp., and Tod D. and Carol Charlton of Massillon; eight grandchildren, Scott Charlton (Shannon Messina), Michelle (Wayne) Sinks, Kristie (Richard) Woods, Timothy "TJ" Charlton Jr. (Helen Revelt), Paul Charlton (De Lockard), Sarah (Zac) Wheeler, Brian (Sharron Diehl), and Aaron Charlton.  She also has eleven great-grandchildren, Samantha and Kaidin Charlton, and Nathen Dotson, Lindsey, Connor and Isaac Sinks, Karly, Kyle, and Lilleonna Woods, Timothy III "Trey" and Kylie Charlton; sister, Esther Reinoehl; brother, Earl Stauffer.  A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 at Faith Lutheran Church, 107 Sixth St. S.W., Massillon, Ohio  44647 at 11 AM with Pastor Emily Seitz officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service from 10am to 11am at the church. Burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery, Massillon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Faith Lutheran Church .
