Thomas E. Letcavits, a life long resident of Massillon, OH passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at the age of 80. Tom was born to Joe and Margaret (Stephan) Letcavits on February 13, 1944. He was proceeded in death by his parents and older brothers Tim and Jim Letcavits. Tom graduated from Massillon Washington High School in 1962. The following August he joined the Navy.  He served aboard the USS Meredith during the Vietnam war and was discharged in September of 1966. After coming home to Massillon Tom got a job at Republic Steel and retired from there in 2010. He was an avid fisherman and always enjoyed a good round of golf. Tom is survived by his two daughters, Shawn Letcavits and Tracey Letcavits; grandchildren, Jessica, Cheyenne, and Sierra; great-grandchildren, Madison, Braxton, Ellieanna, and Remington. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel, 639 1st St NE, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. His final place of rest will be at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Massillon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.  A few of his favorites were The Alzheimer's Association, Wounded Warrior Project and the VFW.
