Timothy J. Coverdale, age 70, of Massillon, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, October 30, 2025.
He was born October 29, 1955, in Massillon, the son of the late Lon and Margaret (Mackey) Coverdale.
He was a 1974 graduate of Tuslaw High School. Tim continued his education at The University of Akron. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Malone College in 1987 and his MBA from Tiffin University in 2003. Tim was a member of the 18th class of Leadership Stark County.
Tim was the Director of Adult Services & The Workshops, Inc. for Stark County MRDD, retiring after 30 years of service. He was instrumental in expanding the merchandise and community love of The Gift Garden.  Tim then worked for Family Medicine Health and Wellness Center, as well as Jenior Estate Sales.
Tim was very artistic and creative. He enjoyed shaping his "showstopper" back yard and home with plants and flowers and beautiful décor. He was known for his annual July 4th pool parties, as well as other family and holiday gatherings, many of which included his amazing cheesecakes. Tim also had a beautiful voice and enjoyed directing choir at his former church.

Tim is survived by his partner, Steven Sharrock; brothers, Rodney (Billie) Coverdale, Brian Coverdale; sisters, Kathy Groff and Linda (Glenn) Goe; Steve's siblings, Kirk (Machelle) Sharrock and Melody Dyer; many nieces and nephews; and cherished schnauzers Gracie and Lucy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Dennis Groff; and schnauzers Mercedes and Stella.

A gathering to Celebrate his Life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 22nd from 2-4pm at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church at 226 3rd St SE in Massillon.

His final place of rest will be Sunset Hills Burial Park.
In lieu of flowers, please plant a hosta in Tim's memory.
