Valerie F. Powell, 80, most recently of Canton, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026 at Gables of Canton.

She was born November 7, 1945 in Barberton, the daughter of the late Oliver and Eileen (Bucklew) Bloom.

Valerie retired from Northwest Local Schools where she was a secretary at the middle school.

She loved crafting and playing slot machines.

Valerie is survived by daughters, Kande (Jeff) Greene and Allison (Tom) Foust; grandson, Nathan Greene; and granddaughter, Shelby Greene.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Powell and daughter Jennifer (Powell) Campbell.

There will be no services at this time.

She will be laid to rest with her husband and daughter at a later date.
