Vernon J.  Schaub, age 77, of Jackson Twp., passed away Friday, December 2, 2022.
He was born on August 14, 1945 in Canton, son of the late Wesley and Clara Belle (Buchanan) Schaub.
Vernon was an electrician and owned and operated W.W. Schaub Electric with his brothers.  He was a member of Canton IBEW Local #540, Sportsman Gun Club, Massillon Tiger Gun Club, and a proud member of NRA.  He loved hunting, fishing, and woodworking.  He looked forward to morning breakfasts with family and friends.
He spent his retirement at the ball field.
Vernon will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by daughters, Kim (Tim) Lash, Pam (Stan) Sereychas, Kelly Schaub; brothers, Wesley Schaub, David (Bonnie) Schaub; grandchildren, Shane Lash, Brooke Johnson, Cody, Emily and Abigail Decker, Sydney and Stanley Sereychas, and Breonna Cutts; and three great-grandsons; and son-in-law, David Decker.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Brenda Jean (Ward) Schaub, daughter Michelle Decker, and brother, Robert L. Schaub.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 4 to 6 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel.
His final place of rest will be Sunset Hills Burial Park.
