Virginia "Ginny" M. Price, age 97 of Massillon, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024 at The Inn at Belden Village. She was born October 28, 1926, in Massillon, the daughter of the late Carl and Grace (Shammo) Blackstone. She was a 1944 graduate of Washington High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of Grace United Church of Christ. Ginny loved playing cards, traveling, nature, bird watching, Cleveland sports and Massillon Tigers, and most of all spending time with family. Ginny is survived by her children, Dan (Sis) Price, Tim (Doreen) Price, Diane (Keith) King, Debbie Lipps (fiancé John Riedl); grandchildren, Erin (Jesse) Maldonado, Jessica (Ryan) Conde, Brandon (Drew) Price, Stacey (Matt) Bowermaster; great-grandchildren, Ariana and Tristan Conde, Teddy and Rory Price, and Maddie Bowermaster; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Robert Price; siblings, Ray Blackstone, Rich Blackstone, and Donna Luckner. The family will receive friends and family from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW, Massillon OH 44646. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024 at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, at 1:30 pm with Rev. Dale Smith officiating. Burial to follow the service at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Massillon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Stark County Humane Society, P. O. Box 7077, Canton, Ohio 44705.
