Walter D. Legrom, age 78, of Navarre, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023. Walter was born August 15, 1945, in Massillon, the son of the late Walter F. and Rose (Neiss) Legrom. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam Era. Walter retired from the Timken Steel after 35 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. Walter is survived by wife of 50 years, Mary Ann (Alexander) Legrom; daughters, Julie Ditch and Jenny (Bob) Schandel; grandchildren, Caitlin Ditch and Riley Schandel; and six sisters. In addition to his parents, was preceded in death by four sisters. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023, at 1 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the service from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M.  His final place of rest will be Sunset Memory Gardens.
