Bessie Watling, age 97 of Jackson Twp., passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Rose Lane Health Center.

She was born on February 9, 1914 in Ipswich, England and was daughter of the late William and Hannah (Hart) Rogers. Bessie and her family came to the United States in 1958 and she worked for the Hoover Family of North Canton. She was a member of the British Club of Canton. She enjoyed knitting, reading and traveling.

She is survived by her family whom she enjoyed spending time with including daughter Judy Wilson (Denver Fitzgerald) of Canton, granddaughters Cathy (Jay) Perdue of Canton and Beth (Tom) Williams of Massillon, great-grandsons Chris and Justin Williams and special niece Valerie (Bob) Seas of Piqua, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Fred Watling who died in 1994, three brothers, three sisters and special niece Peggy Henshaw.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 2, 2012 at 2 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel 5850 Wales Ave N.W., with Pastor Calvin Hamblin officiating. Friends may call beginning at 1 P.M. at the funeral home prior to the service.
