William "Bill" Craft Barton Jr., age 73, died Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at his residence in Massillon.

He was born March 26, 1942, in Memphis TN, the son of the late William Craft Barton and Peggy Barton Irwin.

Bill's loves were his family, friends, and sports.  He had a quick wit, twinkle in his eyes and an unswerving positive attitude.  Bill touched the heart of everyone he met and will be greatly missed.  Special  thanks for the love of his long term caregivers, who Bill considered as part of his family.

Bill is survived by his sister, Peggy Barton Queen, nieces and nephews, Mary Elizabeth Queen, Meredith Barton Queen, John Barry Barton (wife Lindsay), Laurie Elizabeth Barton; great nieces, Emma Lucille Barton, Adelaide Craft Barton.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, John Barry Barton; and grandparents, Mr & Mrs. Samuel Bonds.

Visitation will be held TONIGHT Thursday, July 16 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel, 639 First St NE.

Funeral Services will follow at 5PM at the funeral home with Rev. Dale Smith officiating.

Burial at Lexington Cemetery,  in Lexington, KY on Monday, July 20 at Noon.
