William L. Bill Hawk, age 83 of Jackson Twp., passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Compassionate Care Center.
He was born May 7, 1933 in Strasburg the son of the late Ora and Ida (Emig) Hawk.
He was a veteran serving with the Navy.
Bill was a pharmacist for 57 years; he retired from Mercy Professional Pharmacy and had been co-owner of Rices Pharmacy at Lake Cable.
He was a member of McDonaldsville St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Bill is survived by his wife of 42 years, Gail (Pedersen) Hawk; daughter, Katherine Kate Hawk; step daughter, Mary Ellen (Steve) Wertheimer; grandchildren, Heather and Iris; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Edna Belle Richardson, John (Janice) Hawk, Alice Susie (Bud) Williams.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by first wife, Mary (Weaver) Hawk; siblings, Vivian Barr, Bray Hawk, Dale Hawk, Gene Hawk, and Melvin Hawk.
Funeral Services will be held on August 29, 2016 at Heitger Funeral Home  Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW at 1:30 PM with Pastors James Walters and Erv Urschitz.
Calling hours will be held prior to the service at the funeral home from 11:30am to 1:30pm.
Burial to follow the service at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens in North Canton.
