Obituary

William J. Tranick, age 94 of Jackson Township, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024 at Rose Lane Care Facility. He was born January 5, 1930, in South Pymatuning Twp., PA. He was an Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a graduate of University of Pittsburgh "Cum Lade" in 1958 and attended OSU and received his certificate of residency in hospital pharmacy. Bill retired from Aultman Hospital in 2005 where he was a registered pharmacist. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 554 3rd degree and a former Scout Master of Troop #257.  Bill loved the outdoors. Bill is survived by his children, Steve Tranick (Teresa Krajcir), Carole (Dave) Yoder, Rob (Laurel) Tranick; sister, Cathy (George) Lutza; grandchildren, Natalie, Renea (Jon), Drew (Daviel), and Thomas; great-granddaughter, Lilliana. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Tranick, Father, Stephen James Tranick, Mother, Anna M. (Hallas) Tranick; two brothers and one sister. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW at 12:00 pm. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel,, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Burial to follow the service at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens in North Canton with military honors. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Diabetes Association, 1815 W.
