Barbara L. (Plank) Skacal

Barbara L. Skacal, age 89, loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt of Jackson Twp., passed away Friday, April 22, 2022. Barbara was born in Quincy, Ohio on February 12, 1933 to Florence and Lewis Plank who preceded her in death as did her brother Hubert and wife, Marjorie, and two nephews. She was a member of Quincy Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, James (Jim) Skacal; her sister, Mary Sue (John) Dearwester; daughters, Susan Rohrbough (Mick), Linda Cowgill (Lee), Cynthia Rohrbough (Len); grandson Lucas (Krista) Cowgill; sister-in-law Peg (Bill); step children, Debra (Doug), James (Stephanie), Matthew (Carol), David (Heidi); and step-grandchildren Tom, Alexandra, Thane and Seth.  Barbara is also survived by several nieces, a nephew, great-grandchildren, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

The family extends a special thank you to caregivers, Laura and Liz.

A graveside memorial service celebrating Barbara’s life will be held at Huber Cemetery in DeGraff, Ohio April 30, 2022 at 1:00pm.
