Barry M. Johnson, age 62 of North Lawrence

On February 20, 1960 in Massillon, “Beej or BJ” came into this world and made Gerald and Phyllis (Grening) Johnson first time parents.  He brought them joy, challenged them whenever possible and loved them unconditionally.

By Tuesday, November 1, 2022, BJ had cooked up his last masterful BBQ, drank his last Captain, had his last 4:20, went on his last “guy ride”, hiked his last of many trails, sang his last song, went on his last kayak trip, gave his faithful fur friend-Hobbs his last belly rub, took his last electric bike ride, bought his last gadget, did his last “Schwing”, boated on the Ohio River for the last time, watched his last football game, mowed his last lawn and so many more lasts!

In his younger years, he earned the Eagle Scout, shared his beautiful singing voice in many performances, started his working years as a paperboy, went on to lifeguard, became a mill worker, worked many years at Lehman Awning and finished his career at GoJo.

He is finally resting comfortably, scratching Cain’s belly and sharing heavenly stories with some of his favorite people:  Gary, Kevin, Allie, his grandparents, and relatives to name a few.  There will be something missing in the hearts of his family, his huge circle of friends, his past loves, and the shorties who referred to him as “Uncle Trouble”.

To all who knew him or shared your love with his family, come and celebrate BJ on Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 12:30 – 3:30pm at Sons and Daughters of Herman, 1994 Deermont Ave. NW Massillon, Ohio 44647
