Carol Ann “Annie” Hawk passed away peacefully on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Altercare Country Lawn Nursing Home Navarre after a brief illness. She was a lifelong resident of Massillon and a graduate of Jackson High School. She had worked at Tyson Roller Bearing.
She is survived by one sister, Violet Luke, Canton and nine nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee R. Hawk and Violet M. Nicewander, siblings and spouses, Betty (Ernest ) Johnson, Noreen (Charles) Moyer, Elroy (Mary) Hawk, William (Mary Jane ) Hawk, brother-in-law Maurice Luke and a very dear friend, Flora Hall. Sadly, her six nephews also preceded her in death.
Annie as she was affectionately known to many, loved her Cleveland Indians and attended many spring trainings in FL. Her nieces and nephews loved her because she followed them in sports and other activities and was the life of a party. Her motto was “hey kids, go have fun”. The family has many fond memories of the days on the farm at High Mill.
Per her wishes, there are no calling hours. A graveside service at Sunset Hills Burial Park is scheduled for Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 1PM.
The family wishes to thank her very kind and caring neighbors for their love and compassion in recent years.
