Charles "Charlie" Timms Obituary

Charles “Charlie” Timms, age 72 of North Canton, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at The Landing of Canton.
He was born February 20, 1950, in Newark, Ohio, the son of the late Charles and Gretta (Lyons) Timms.
He was a proud Marine veteran serving during the Vietnam Conflict.


Charlie retired from Republic after 30 years of service.  He had also worked at Stark County Educational Service Center for 15 years.
He was a life time member of the VFW Post 5047 and the Father and Son Hunting Club.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Lori (Bivenour) Timms; three sons, Charles Wayne Timms, Chad Michael Timms, Stephen Robert Timms; daughter, Lee Marie Rockwell; brother, William Allen Timms; two sisters, Erma (Harry) McComb, Janet (Dale) Ranck; six grandchildren, Alexa, Jax, and Charlee Rockwell, Ella, Caden, and Gavin Timms. 

He was preceded in death by Father, Charles Edgar Timms, Mother, Gretta Luella Timms; sister-in-law, Barbara Timms; sister and brother-in-law, Inez and Wayne Kern.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with military honors at 11:15 am.
