Obituary

Constance S. Makinson, age 85, of North Canton, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Aultman Compassionate Care Center.  


She was born May 25, 1938, in Barberton the daughter of  the late Gerald and Nellie (Snyder) Smith.  


Constance received her masters in post secondary technical education from Akron University and her masters in Business Administration from Kent State University.  
She retired from G.E. Credit.    

She was a member of the Red Hatters.  She enjoyed traveling the United States, especially to National Forests and Wildlife Areas.  She had also traveled to Cancun thirty times, Australia, New Zealand, and  a River Cruise in Europe.   She white water rafted at the Middle Fork of the Salmon River, and in West Virginia.  Fishing, canoeing, and traveling were her passions. 

Constance is survived by her husband of 44 years, Charles L. Makinson, and daughter, Lisa (Robert) Campbell of Portland, Oregon, and her true love, "Spike".
