Obituary

David S. Kendig, 78, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2022.
David was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on November 2, 1944. He was a graduate of Kent State University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in graphic design, and later received his Masters degree from Malone College.
David left Canton for sunny California, residing in San Benardino, and working as an engineer for the Santa Fe railroad. He later returned, and worked in property management until he retired.
David us preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Lydia Kendig. He is survived by his son, Trevor Kendig, and grandson, Xavier Kendig of Bangor, ME. He is also survived by his sisters, Janet Shaver, of Springfield, and Sally Hoce, of Canton, as well as his nephew, Alex Hoce.
Funeral service will take place at noon on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at the Jackson Chapel of the Heitger Funeral Home, 5850 Wales Ave. NW, Massillon. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 11 AM to Noon.
Interment will take place at Sunset Hills Burial Park. 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Aultman Hospice, or the Total Living Center (TLC), 2221 Ninth Street SW, Canton, OH, 44706.
