Donald Mortimer Obituary

Donald C. Mortimer, age 68 of Massillon, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022 at his home surrounded by family.
He was born May 22, 1954, in Akron, the son of the late Gerald and Doris (Hill) Mortimer.
He was a Staff Sergeant Air Force veteran.
Donald retired after 35 years of service in the telecom industry.  
He was a former member of Akron VFW Legion Riders.  He was a life member of the North American Hunting Club.
Donald is survived by his wife, Mary (Young) Mortimer; three Daughters, Katrina, Cassandra, Anna;  sister, Ann (Tracy) Drillien; brother, Kenneth (Renee) Mortimer; four granddaughters, Shelby, Madyson, Victoria, Kristina; three grandsons, Austyn, Xander, Joesph; great-grandchildren, Paisley, Kailynn, and Aiyana; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family and friends. 
He was preceded in death by brothers, David and Frank Mortimer.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW at 11 AM with Pastor Michael Eskridge officiating.
Calling hours will be held an hour prior to the service from 10 AM to 11 AM. 
His final place of rest will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville.
