Elaine Doris Boak, 89 of Massillon passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021 at her home.
She was born October 27, 1931 in McDonaldsville the daughter of the late Louis and Esther (Kiko) Heather.
She had worked at Brookfield Bakery and Yum Yum Tree where she was a baker and cake decorator.
Elaine loved gardening and sewing and making her homemade gifts for her children and grandchildren. She was involved as an adviser for the 4H program. She was an avid cake decorator. Her most precious gift was family. She dearly loved all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Elaine is survived by her children, Robert (Jana) Boak, Richard (Jean) Boak, Sharon Howman, Cynthia (Timothy) Smith, Laurie (Dave) Cristia, Jeanette (Steve) Troyer, Julie (Rick) Byer, Mary Jo Madzia; brother, Gary (Linda) Heather, sisters, Janet Seifert, Judy (Roger) Fricke; 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren. Elaine had many extended children including Sue Ann Jenkins and Debbie Foster.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert P. Boak, brother, Elmer Heather; grandson, Michael Howman; two great-granddaughters, Alyssa and Kamryn.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW, Massillon, OH 44646 from 4pm to 7pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church in Massillon on Monday, May 24, 2021 at 11am. A visitation will be held an hour prior at the church from 10am to 11am.
Burial to follow the service at Brookfield Cemetery in Massillon.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Spina Bifida or the American Cancer Society.
