Greg L Pisanelli

Greg Pisanelli, a man of many interests and talents, who had a quick wit and a passion for the blues, passed away November 4, 2023, at Windsor Medical Center after a fierce battle. Greg was born in Wadsworth, Ohio, to the late Julius and Patricia (Riley) Pisanelli on February 6, 1952. He attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from Wadsworth High School in 1970. In high school, Greg ran track and played rhythm guitar in several local bands, such as Famish, the Missing Lynx, and Brimstone. He graduated from the University of Akron, where he met his wife, Christine. Greg worked at The Timken Company and Aircraft Braking Systems (Meggitt) as an industrial engineer until retirement. He and Christine lived together in Jackson Township for over forty years. In his spare time, Greg enjoyed maintaining his vehicles, including body work, growing vegetable gardens, watching “monster movies,” and of course playing his guitars (of which he collected many). Pisanelli vacations were often in the Adirondack Mountains and Toronto, Canada. Never one to shy away from a complex project, Greg was a skilled handyman and fixer of most things, even assisting with the remodel and build-out of the family’s home and kitchen. Greg is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Christine (Adams) Pisanelli; son, Dr. Matthew (Lauren) of Stow; daughter, Lauren N. of Columbus; grandson, Bennett Keske; sister, Aliesa Guinter of Wadsworth; and nephew, John Guinter. He also leaves his brothers-in-law Dennis (Deb) Adams and James Adams; niece, Lisa Vogelsong; great nephew, Andrew Vogelsong; and many cousins and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 1 to 3 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - JACKSON CHAPEL, 5850 Wales Ave. N.W., Massillon, 44646. Memorial service will follow beginning at 3 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice. The family would like to thank the staff of Windsor Medical Center and Crossroads Hospice for his excellent care.
