Hope Margaret Lang, age 22, of Massillon, Ohio, went home to Our Lord on August 16, 2019.
She was born December 23, 1996 in Pittsburgh, PA, to Vietnam Veteran Sargent Frederick Lang and Patricia Colaizzi. She relocated to Ohio in 2006 with her parents and maternal grandparents.
She attended Saint Joan of Arc School, then attended Central Catholic High School.
Hope loved music, playing with toddlers, and Heinz Ketchup. She had an excellent sense of humor and was taught well about the art of sarcasm from her maternal grandfather. Hope was creatively talented, as she loved to paint and draw, and especially enjoyed painting bird houses because of her love of nature. She saved a kitten that was thrown from a car in a nearby parking lot, and gave it to her neighbors that were mourning the loss of their cat. Her most favorite activity was going on cruises.
Hope is survived by not only her parents, but her sister, Jennifer Carrozza (Kevin); brothers, Craig Colaizzi (Renae), David Ribic, and Christian Colaizzi (Andrea). Also, Uncle Daniel Colaizzi III (Betty), Aunt Deborah Colaizzi, many cousins, nieces, and nephews and one great-grandnephew.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Mildred and World War Two Veteran Vernon Lang and her maternal grandparents, Hope and Daniel Colaizzi Jr. Hope was the namesake of her maternal grandmother, Hope and paternal great-grandmother, Margaret.
A prayer vigil service will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Jackson North Park Pavilion, 7660 Fulton Rd. NW, at 7:30pm.
