Jan E. (Talmadge) Kohl

Jan E. Kohl, age 64 of Jackson Township, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023 at her home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born May 19, 1959, in Canton, the daughter of the late George and Janice (Hanel) Talmadge. She graduated from Jackson High School in 1977, married the love of her life in
1984, and raised her two doting children in Jackson Township.
She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed puzzles, card games, the outdoors, gardening, and, above all, spending time with her family.
Jan is survived by her husband, Dale Kevin Kohl; son, Jacob Kohl (Jacob Paiano); daughter, Cecily Kohl (Will Wagner); sister, Susan (Rich) Hirschman; brother, Chuck (Linda) Talmadge.
Friends and loved ones will gather for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW at 11 AM. The family will receive
friends an hour prior to the service from 10 AM to 11 AM. Per Jan’s wishes, please dress comfortably and colorfully.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Stark County Humane Society.
