John A. Tournoux, age 66 of Massillon, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021.
He was born May 5, 1954, in Alliance the son of the late Richard and Betty (Birkheimer) Tournoux.
John worked at Giant Eagle for many years, previously working at Wayne Dalton.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where he was a lector for many years. He also was a huge Cleveland sports fan, he enjoyed walking on local area trails and parks, and relaxing, listening to music, candles, lighthouses. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
John is survived by children, Roger (Lela) Tournoux, Celeste (Dan) King, Patrick Tournoux; siblings, Cheryl (Steve) Kampfer, Theresa Cox, Donny Tournoux, Terry (Debby) Tournoux; grandchildren, Clarke King, Mindy Tournoux, and Tanga Tournoux.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Tournoux, and long time girl friend, Elizabeth Adkins.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel, 639 1st St NE, Massillon, 7 P.M. with Fr. Edward Gretchko officiating.
Calling hours will be held prior to the service at the funeral home from 6 to 7 P.M.
In keeping with COVID 19 guidelines, social distancing will be observed and face masks are required.
His final resting place will be at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens in North Canton.
