June B. (Rearick) Kanney

June B. Kanney, age 95 of Massillon, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021.
She was born December 28, 1925, in Massillon the daughter of the late Herbert and Hannah (Weaver) Rearick.  
June was a secretary and bookkeeper retired from Sherwood Coats.  
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Massillon Woman's Club, Massillon Heritage Foundation, Spring Hill Historical Society, Soroptimist International, and Red Hats Cardinal Tea Timers #110.  In 2008, she was recognized as a 50 year member of Delta Chapter #539, Order of Eastern Star and in 2016 recognized as a 60 year member of Legacy Chapter #596.  She was an avid golfer and played with the 9-holers at Shady Hollow C.C.
June is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kim Robert and Janice Kanney, step-son, Drew (Corrie) Johnson; grandchildren, Megan (Allan) Lynch, Rebekah (Steven) Herceg, Jenny (Toby) Mathias, Jed (Amanda) Lindsay, great-grandchildren, Grant Mathias, Linzie Mathias, Morgan Lindsay, Nathan Lindsay,  Jarrett Lynch, and Titus Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel "Bob" Kanney who passed away in 2011; daughters, Kay Barbara Unkefer who passed away in 1990 and  Karen Ann Kanney who passed away in 2021; brother, George Rearick; and sister, Helen Aegerter.  
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.  
Her final place of rest will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Massillon.
