Kathleen E (Welsh) Scott

Kathleen E. Scott, age 84 of Massillon, passed away on her birthday, Monday, February 5, 2018 at the House of Loreto.
She was born February 5, 1934, in Carter, South Dakota the daughter of the late James and Marie (Storms) Welsh.
She was a registered nurse in the Navy.
After raising her children, Kathy worked at and retired from Altercare of Navarre where she was a nurse for 11 years.
She was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church and involved with St. Barbara renewal group.  Kathy was a Faith-in-Action volunteer and a Stark Parks Trail Blazer.
She enjoyed gardening, boating, bicycling, and being with her family.
Kathy is survived by son, Stephen Scott and Kisha Chovan; sons, and daughters-in-law, Brian and Mari Scott, Dale and Janet Scott, Duane and Amy Scott, sister, Joann Rudnick; brother, Don Welsh; grandchildren, Samantha Massey, Logan, Madison, Molly and Mallory Scott and great-grandsons, Landon Scott and Mason Massey, extended family, Ashley, Megan, Haley, Jeremy, and Arianna.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Gerald "Jerry" Scott (2015); brothers, George and Bob Welsh.     
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 11AM at St. Barbara Catholic Church, 2813 Lincoln Way N.W., Massillon, Ohio  44647. 
Visitation will begin at 9:30AM at the church prior to mass.
Her final resting place will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
