Marianne Margaret Pappano Price crossed over to find peace with her Heavenly Father on March 23, 2023 in Marietta, Ohio.
Marianne was born November 5, 1942 to Fred and Maxine Pappano of Akron, Ohio. She married her husband of 54 years, Jack (John Jr.) Price on March 14, 1964. Jack and Marianne raised their two children, John and Leanne, with unconditional love and acceptance and surrounded them with warmth and support from a treasured extended family and countless friends. The Price family travelled by RV all over the country visiting National Parks and historic landmarks, with Marianne documenting each trip in journals.
With Jack typically stealing the spotlight, Marianne was happily laughing at his antics in the wings. From time to time, there may have been an eye roll. In keeping with her Italian tradition, Marianne often showed her affection through cooking for those she loved. We will all miss the meatballs, but thankfully, Leanne has the family recipe. Marianne will be remembered most for her sincere smile, unfailing kindness, and generous compliments, though her explicit descriptions of both real and imagined ailments must also be mentioned.
In her passing, Marianne joins her parents; husband, Jack; son John Price III; granddaughter, Sophia Rain Adair; brother, Bill Pappano; nephews, Joe Pappano and Jim Wormald; brother-in-law, Dick Abrams; and closest family friends Dick Rouser, Shelli Schwenk, and Traci Libby.
Marianne enjoyed herself and took pride in her family, especially her grandsons, Jackson and Ranger Adair, whom she leaves behind along with daughter Leanne Price and favorite person, son-in-law, Chris Weihl, all of Marietta, Ohio. Her dear sister, Judy Pappano Abrams, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews also survive her.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Queen of Heaven, 1800 Steese Rd at 11:00 am with Fr. David R. Durkee officiating.
Calling hours will be held an hour prior to the service at Queen of Heaven from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Her final place of rest will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron.
