Patricia A. Ripple, age 95, of Massillon, passed away following a brief period of declining health on Monday, June 27, 2022 at Amherst Meadows Assisted Living.
She was born August 10, 1926, in Massillon the daughter of the late Roy and Kathryn (Smart) Hillyer.
Patricia was an accomplished and well known watercolor artist who's works are in local businesses and private collections. She taught many local art classes over the years and continued to teach art until age 95. She was a member of the Ohio Watercolor Society, American Watercolor Society, Whiskey Painters of America, Massillon Museum, Canton Museum, a charter member of the Canton Artists League, Massillon Woman's Club and First United Methodist Church.
Patricia is survived by daughters, Deborah K. (Thomas E.) Liggett, Jody A. (Daniel) Snively; son, Kevin S. (Lori) Ripple; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Ripple who died in 2009, sisters, Carmen Finley and Kathryn R. Kiefer; brother, Leroy P. Turner, and one niece.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 11 A.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave. N.W., Massillon with Rev. Les Peine officiating.
Calling hours will be held at the funeral home prior to the service from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. DUE TO FAMILY HEALTH CONDITIONS, ALL GUESTS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A FACE MASK.
Her final place of rest will be Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Massillon.
