Ronald Lazar

Ronald Lazar, age 74, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 7, 2021 on his 49th Wedding Anniversary, comforted by his loving wife and children. 
He was born March 20, 1947 in Punxsutawney, PA, the son of the late Irene (Sitosky) and John Lazar.

Ronald retired from NSS after many years of business education and service.  

He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.  Ron was a loving husband, supportive brother, an amazing father, a cherished grandfather/papa, and unbelievable friend to many. He had a quick wit and talent for joke-telling that added to his one-of-a-kind personality and made him the life of the party. Ron loved a good deal as well as a good meal and he believed in family over everything. He enjoyed movies, living on the lake, corvettes, and sharing memories with loved ones.  

Ronald is survived by his adoring wife, Kathy (Halter) Lazar; children, Cameron and Kelly Lazar, Brittany and Ryan Braniger, grandchildren; Sienna and Kenai Lazar and Elliott and Maxton Braniger, siblings; Joyce Nieschwitz, Marlene Petroff; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John. 

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, October 18th, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 3430 St Michaels Blvd NW, Canton, OH 44718 at 10am. The service will be live streamed for loved ones near and far at 10am via St. Micheal Canton Live Stream www.stmichaelcanton.org/funeralservices. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Akron Children’s Hospital or enjoy a meal and a drink in Ron’s honor.
