Samuel A. Krempasky, age 93 of Massillon, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at his home.
He was born January 14, 1931, in Jacobs Creek, PA, the son of the late Clement and Maria (Roth) Krempasky.
He was an Army veteran. He was a graduate of Grove City College.
Sam retired from Akzo Salt Company in 1992.
He was a member of Divine Mercy Parish St. Joseph Campus and St. Mary Campus, St. Joseph Holy Name Society, 1st Catholic Slovak Union, and Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree #554. Sam enjoyed polka dancing, traveling, visiting relatives in Slovakia while teaching English, and visiting the Holy Land.
Sam is survived by Daughter, Kathryn Somogy; son, Samuel W. Krempasky; four grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rose Marie Krempasky; son, John C. Krempasky; daughter, Margaret Jantzen; five brothers, Klement, Steve, Albert, Max, and Carl; two sisters, Agnes Dersy and Ann Mariana.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Divine Mercy Parish St. Joseph Campus, 322 3rd St SE, Massillon at 10:30 AM with The Very Rev. James E. Sheridan J.C.L., V.F. celebrant.
Calling hours will be held on Wed., February 28, 2024 at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel, 639 1st St NE, from 9 AM to 10:00 AM.
Burial to follow the service at Calvary Cemetery in Massillon.
