William Chandler Obituary

On the evening of October 13, 2021, William was called home to be with his mother Kizzie and father Eddie Chandler; his sisters Lazora Young ‘Pee Wee’; Corajean Hastings and his brother John Henry Watson-Chandler.
He is deeply loved, and will be missed greatly by the love of his life Denise Chandler, his wonderful son, Dartanyon Chandler and his beautiful daughter, Tia Chandler. His sisters, Melvina Chandler, and Eddie Mae (Butch) Harris and brother, Chuckie (Priscilla) Chandler and numerous nieces and nephews.
On any given morning you could have found William sitting at the table having coffee and listening to jazz music while playing games on his computer, waiting to hear from ‘Brother Carl’ or ‘Brother Paul’, Jo Jo or Papa Ivory with a good lead on some scrap to “make a nickel”. Unless it was Sunday, where you could find him in Cleveland Browns gear, in front of the TV with his son in law, Donald ‘DJ’ Knight to cheer the Browns to a victory. His evenings were spent helping anybody that needed it, as long as he was home to sit with ‘Whipple’ and watch “Wheel of Fortune” and than the daily lottery drawings.
The only thing that kept him from his evening routine was a game of spades, which he would enjoy with Denise, his forever and favorite spades partner, Danny France and his spades rival, Cheryl Jacobs.
Above helping others, his sobriety, scrapping and the lottery, William (Paw Paw) loved his grandchildren, that he referred to as “his 330 posse”; Kaydyn Chandler-Cardelein; Riylee chandler; Quincy Chandler; Kensley Chandler; Dontae Knight, Cody Bilton and Daniel Yoder. Paw Paw loved each of them immensely.
The family would like to extend a very warm and loving Thank You to Diane Kemp; Stacy Daniels; Heidi Russell; Scott and Kelly Kemp; and Mike and Lori Ramsey. William did not wish to have services, the family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
“We will love you eternally and miss you even more”
