Zachary D. Reed, age 20, passed away on July 19, 2022.
He was born on August 17, 2001 in Canton, and is the son of Ryan and Kimberly (Sarver) Reed.
Zach was a 2020 graduate of Massillon Washington High School. He had so much fun supporting the Massillon Tigers as a Village Idiot. He attended Ohio University and was currently employed as a service technician at Progessive Chevrolet.
Zach had a captivating smile and personality and liked meeting people and having long conversations with everyone he met. He enjoyed constantly being with his friends and family, attending car shows with his dad and Papa, and spending time with his friends at the cabin.
Growing up in Massillon, he has so many life-long friends. In their love and devotion, they stood by his side day and night in the ICU at Aultman Hospital. He will forever be in the hearts of so many.
Zach gave the gift of a better life for others as an organ donor. That was his beautiful gift to save more lives.
In addition to his parents, his is survived by his sister, Jordan Reed, Grandparents, Mary Lou and Dan Reed (Mama and Papa); grandfather, Lawrence Sarver; Aunt Amy (Sam Pendolino) Anthony, and cousins Riley and Ava Anthony; Aunt Melissa and Uncle Arthur Moreno; and additional Aunts, Uncles and extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Patricia (Penny) Sarver.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 24, 2022 from 2 to 6 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave. N.W., Massillon.
Funeral service will follow beginning at 6 P.M. at the funeral home. Fr. Raymond Paul will officiate.
His final place of rest will be St. Joseph Cemetery in Massillon.
