Carolanne C. Kemp, age 80 of Massillon passed away on June 23, 2017 at The Landing of Canton. She was born April 3, 1937, daughter of the late Leo and Margaret (McCarthy) Eberhardt. Carolanne worked in the jewelry department at K Mart for 26 years and retired in 1996. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She volunteered for St. Mary's Bingo and organized the church rummage sale for many years. Carolanne was adored by her family and grandchildren.  She enjoyed attending all  school, sports and dance events.  She will be remembered for her high energy and fun dance moves. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jerome J. Kemp, Sr., son and daughter-in-law Jerome Jr. and Christine Kemp, son Joseph F. Kemp, daughter and son-in-law Anne M. and John R. Schiller, sisters Marcella Johnson and Therese Rohr, sister-in-law Martha Eberhardt, Ruth Nolan and Evelyn Chouris. Grandchildren Jerome J. Kemp III, Tara Schiller-Peterhansen, Briana Kistler,  Cortney Threm, Kolby Kemp and Jacob Kemp, great-grandchildren Alexia Kemp, Lillian Peterhansen, Camden Threm and baby Kistler on the way. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Mary Kathleen Brahm and brother, Leo Jerome Eberhardt. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 10 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Edward Gretchko celebrant.  Her final resting place will be St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - MASSILLON CHAPEL. The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation for the wonderful care she received by Tiffany and her staff at The Landing of Canton.  Also, a thank you to Compassionate Care Hospice especially Janet and Liz for their wonderful care and standing behind their name "Compassion at it's finest"!
